The timeless Yamaha V-Star 1100 Custom comes chrome plated, tear drop tanked and with the piston pounding appeal of a V-Twin cruiser. It is one of Canada's best cruiser values. The styling and attention to detail is only surpassed by the performance and reliability.

With a long, low, lean-and-mean profile, traditional spoked wheels, and a bobbed tail rear fender, the V-Star 1100 Custom has the look and feel of a classic "chopper."

In fact, when you see the low price tag, you might think that you've gone back in time. But one short ride will rule time travel out, thanks to the incredible attention to detail and the quality fit and finish that the Star family is famous for. Its powerful air-cooled, 65-cubic-inch V-twin pumps out lots of low-end torque, while a smooth-shifting 5-speed transmission and clean, quiet shaft drive put the power to the ground. Customization possibilities are endless.

Yamaha V-Star 1100 Custom model Features

ENGINE

1,063cc, air-cooled, SOHC, 2 valves per cylinder, 75°, V-twin produces outstanding low- and mid-range torque - maximum torque is reached at only 2,500 rpm - for exceptional cruising performance.

Lightweight forged pistons provide excellent durability while reducing reciprocating mass for fast throttle response. Connecting rods are carburized for durability.

Ceramic composite cylinder plating ensures superior heat dissipation for better cooling, reduced friction and longer engine life.

Thick cylinder cooling fins enhance the stylish look while increasing cooling efficiency and reducing mechanical noise.

Dual Mikuni BSR 37mm carburetors with throttle position sensors (T.P.S.) feature an electronic fuel pump, carburetor heaters and handy side-mounted air filter to ensure consistent fuel flow, great throttle response and optimum power throughout the rev range.

Maintenance-free, transistorized coil ignition (T.C.I.) provides a hot spark for sure starts.

Automatic cam chain tensioners reduce maintenance while silent-type cam chain also reduces mechanical engine noise.

One-way, cam clutch-type starter decreases mechanical noise during starting.

Smooth-shifting, 5-speed transmission is perfect for city or highway use. 5th gear is an overdrive gear for reduced engine rpms at highway speeds for a smooth comfortable ride.

Low-maintenance, chrome, exposed shaft drive delivers superior reliability and a clean, quiet ride. No chain to adjust or lube!

2-into-2 exhaust system with dual shotgun-style staggered pipes plays outstanding V-twin music. Mufflers can easily be changed to aftermarket components, if desired.

Air Induction System (A.I.S.) reduces harmful CO and HC exhaust emissions.

Numerous chromed engine parts reinforce this motorcycle's quality image.

SUSPENSION

Low-slung, large-diameter, double-cradle frame with 32° rake creates a strong, stylish machine with precise, predictable handling.

Extra-long 1640mm (64.6") wheelbase produces a long and low retro profile, with spacious ergonomics for added rider comfort and relaxed, stable handling.

Class-lowest, 690mm (27.2") seat height enhances maneuverability and provides extra rider confidence.

41mm front fork with 140mm (5.5") of travel smoothes out the bumps and features chrome-plated chip protectors for added protection against fork tube damage.

7-step spring preload-adjustable single rear shock is mounted horizontally under the engine, thereby lowering the centre of gravity for better handling and a plush ride.

Rear shock location provides that hidden classic, hardtail look. Rear wheel travel is 113mm (4.5").

Large-diameter, dual 298mm front discs with twin piston calipers provide strong, confidence-inspiring stopping power.

282mm rear disc brake with opposed piston caliper

Narrow, custom-style front tire on 18" spoked chrome wheel means sportier handling.

Wide, 15" rear tire and stylish "bobtail" fender with mudguard add a timeless touch and provides excellent mud and splash protection.

Low-profile, split tandem seats offer all-day rider comfort. Passenger seat is removable.

Large, 17-litre, teardrop fuel tank provides an extra long cruising range.
